![]() Have another interesting app that you can't live without anymore? Let us know about it in the comments. Wed, 15 Dec, 2021 at 4:39 PM MightyText versus Android Messages With the recent release of Android Messages for web, you can send and receive SMS text messages from your computer. The app is compatible with all versions of Android from Android 2.2 up. Yes, the phone has to be on, and it must be connected to a cellular network and have a working data connection for MightyText to work properly. The program has been written by two ex-Google employees which should give you at least a small sense of security. If you are not logged in you first need to log in, and then allow the request to use the app on your computer. When you install the app on your computer or use the web app interface, you are asked to permit the program from accessing a Google account. Once downloaded you will need to give MightyText access to your SMS (texts), Contacts & Phone number. Download the MightyText App from the Google Play Store Store (Android only) 2. My main issue is that it's getting to be a hassle finding a computer to do so. Follow the steps below for setting up the MightyText App: MightyText can be accessed from both your phone & computer. Currently, I'm using AirDroid to check for calls, and MightyText for sending and receiving messages. mSpy is a top-rated, super-stealthy phone spy program. All messages and information are automatically synced between devices, including the Android phone. I just left for an international trip and left my phone SIM at home in an old phone with MightyText and Airdroid installed and running. Fortunately, you wont have to worry about finding out if you use mSpy. You can either download the app Mightytext and send text and receive text messages through the number on your phone or use the app Text Plus to get a new. The message log includes text messages, but also MMS and a call history. Currently there is no app (that Ive found) to use with a non-jailbroken phone that allows a PC to send/receive text messages (let alone pictures, docs, etc. Recipients that receive your messages do not know that you are not sending the messages from your phone.Īnother interesting feature is the message log that you get access to so that you can always access a history of past messages on your computer and your phone. ![]() The benefits of the app are obvious: you receive notifications and see who is calling you even if you have misplaced your phone, forgot to take it with you, or ran out of battery juice. Once set up, you can use the web app or browser extension to SMS from one of your other devices, get instant notifications when SMS messages arrive or see who is calling your phone on your computer. The app uses the current Android phone number and not a new number like Google Voice does. Available for selection are browser extensions for the Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox web browser, and a web app that should run on most computer systems that support a modern web browser. ![]()
